Botanicals

Plants, like hands, are endlessly variable, expressive and beautiful. There is another feature they share: throughout history artists of all cultures have been fascinated by them. As a result, botanical images offer a great challenge to any artist who attempts to represent them in a fresh and original manner.

This series is the product of moments when it seemed important to stretch the limits of my creativity, to envision and represent a common object in a new way. I will always love plants (and hands) so this series is "incomplete". It always will be.
